Over the past few weeks, we've added a few new features and made some updates to the Modulatr beta platform that we're pretty excited about! Team Projects are here! Team Projects are exclusive, invite-only projects that allow you to choose who will have access to your project files, and who can contribute to your project. Anyone can choose to make a Team Project by selecting the option from our newly-designed "Create A Project" form. Swing by the beta site to see it in action! Team Projects are perfect for:
How Team Projects work:
Test out the new Team Project features on the beta: We love what our community is doing with the open-source project type, and we can't wait to see what you folks create using the Team Project features. We are planning to expand upon the democratic voting system that allows team members to collectively vote new members in. We think this voting system could also let team members create polls and vote on project objectives and tasks. With Team Projects, we are working toward shaping Modulatr to become a truly unique project management solution for creative projects that naturally evolve in different directions over time. As always, if you have any suggestions of what sort of features you think would be helpful, we send us a message from our contact page. Here's a video that we put together to walk you through the new Team Project features, and a few other updates we've made over the past few weeks: Planned Feature Additions (NEW STUFF!!)
We still have some work to do on the mobile site, but things are looking better on mobile than they once did (insert cheesy optimistic quote here). Back on the web version, there's a couple bugs we're still ironing out. For instance, when you create a new branch, it might not appear in the diagram right away (refreshing your browser usually takes care of it). Bugs aside, we plan to focus on adding and refining current features for Team Projects. As discussed above, we want to add more utility to the team voting system, and allow team members to make other types of decisions collectively. We're also considering adding more typical project management tools to the Team Projects, like an optional project schedule, task board, etc. We are looking forward to hearing from all of you who have started or joined a Team Project! As always, any feature requests or feedback is greatly appreciated. Reach out to us at our contact page. Thanks for reading, and have a great week! Kyle
